Leader Training

Adult leaders are considered trained, and eligible to wear the official Trained emblem, once they have completed the basic training requirements for their registered position. All Cub Scout position training can now be
completed online. If you prefer in-person training with a council trainer, please review the course offerings on the Northern Star Council Training page. In addition, our pack recommends that all parents complete the Youth Protection training, even if they aren't volunteering in a registered position.  Youth Protection training must be renewed every two years.  Leaders also need to complete the position specific training when they change roles.  For example, a Tiger Leader who becomes a Cub Scout Den Leader will need to complete the Leader Specific: Cub Scout Den Leader Training.  If you have any questions regarding training requirements, please contact the Pack Trainer or Committee Chair.
